Why version 13.5 instead of 13.2? Quite simply because this is not a small update. The amount of content is far more significant than it may seem at first glance.
This update is not limited to the addition of a bad ending for Sakuya. It also includes several months of optimization work so that the game finally runs the way it should. Slowdowns are gone, and performance gains are massive (we’re talking about more than +1000%). The difference will be immediately noticeable in-game.
Another important point is a small overhaul of the UI and the route selection system. I recently played Dispatch, and I was genuinely inspired by their interface work: minimalist, clean, and efficient. The presentation is now much more visual, making it easier to clearly distinguish one route from another and improving overall readability.
The descriptions for Asami may surprise some of you. They reflect the direction I intend to take for the upcoming rework of her routes, so consider this a small preview of what’s to come.
Finally, the cherry on top: freeroam. I know this aspect has frustrated some players, and I understand why. Having freeroam when there is only a single main narrative thread doesn’t offer much value on its own. However, this is part of a long-term vision: the future addition of side quests tied to specific characters, which will require stepping outside the main storyline to unlock exclusive scenes.
With this in mind, a new option has been added: from the hint window, you can now jump directly to the next event with a single click.
This feature is entirely optional, you’re free to use it or continue exploring the world at your own pace.
As for Sakuya’s bad ending, it occurs very early in her route. You will have two opportunities to refuse to obey her and assert that you alone decide your own destiny. If you continue down that path... I’ll let you discover the outcome for yourself.
